Markus Müller combines deep technical expertise with extensive experience in patent law. Education and Qualifications
Markus Müller is a Swiss Patent Attorney and qualified as a European Patent Attorney in 2002. He holds a Ph.D. and master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from ETH Zurich.

Professional Experience
Markus Müller has been with Frei Patent Attorneys since 2002. He drafts patent applications in German and English and represents clients in patent grant, opposition, and appeal procedures before the European Patent Office (EPO). He advises clients on patent and licensing matters in German, English, French, and occasionally Dutch.
He represents clients in proceedings before the Swiss Federal Patent Court and is highly experienced in litigation. Since its establishment in 2012, Markus Müller has been a part-time judge at the Swiss Federal Patent Court.
Markus Müller has a strong technical background, having worked in R&D in a number of the technical areas mentioned below.
