Education and Qualifications
Jennifer Baltes holds a degree in human biology as well as a doctorate in biochemistry from the University of Göttingen (Germany). She is qualified as a European Patent Attorney, Swiss Patent Attorney and German Patent and Trade Mark Attorney. She is also an authorised representative before the UPC (Unified Patent Court).
Professional Experience
Jennifer Baltes has been working for Frei Patent Attorneys since 2018. She advises our clients in all areas of intellectual property and represents them in all legal matters relating to patents, trademarks and designs before the European and German Patent Offices and the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (IPI). She is also very experienced in court proceedings.
Jennifer Baltes has been a board member of VESPA (Swiss Association of private practice patent attorneys) since 2023. She is also active as ‘Special Coach IP’ at Innosuisse (Swiss Innovation Agency) and supports start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises in matters of intellectual property law within federal funding programmes
